Captain Christina L. Yeager was born in Michigan in
1977, and joined Michigan Wing's South Macomb Cadet Squadron as a cadet
in 1993, transferring to South Oakland Cadet Squadron in 1994.
Yeager distinguished herself as a cadet, earning the
Billy Mitchell Award in 1995, the Amelia Earhart Award in 1997, and Ira
C. Eaker Award in 1998, at which time she was appointed a Cadet
Lieutenant Colonel. During her time as a cadet, Captain Yeager
held staff and leadership positions at the 1996 and 1997 Michigan Wing
Encampments. She also attended the Space Command Familiarization
Course and National Blue Beret while serving as a cadet. Yeager
was a charter member of the Michigan Wing Band and Chorus, serving in a
leadership position which earned her the Commander's Commendation Award.
Christina was the Academic Honor Graduate of the
1994 Michigan Wing Cadet Leadership School. She served as a senior
TAC officer at the 1999 and 2000 GLR Cadet Leadership Schools, and was a
TAC officer for the 2001 GLR Summer Encampment..
Captain Yeager reluctantly turned senior in July of
1998, and currently serves the South Oakland Cadet Squadron as
Leadership Officer and Recruiting and Retention Officer.
Yeager attended Northeast Missouri State University in
Kirkville, MO from 1995 to 1997, and during that time, served as an
advisor to the North Missouri Composite Squadron. She currently
works as a Police Service Aide with the Troy Police Department in Troy,
MI.
