GLR Emergency Services Conference

The 2025 Great Lakes Region Emergency Services Conference Was A Great Success!

The conference was held at the Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Indiana, on Friday, 17 January 2025. It was an excellent opportunity for all members of Great Lakes Region to meet, discuss various topics of interest, and share best practices.

This conference was open to cadets and adult members. Cadets must arrange for their adult member chaperones, as the conference will not be responsible for coordinating chaperones during the event. Cadets must have a CAPF 60-80 when they arrive at the conference.

Some items may change based on member availability. The schedule had some openings. For next year's conference, if you wish to hold a breakout session on an ES topic, please get in touch with Lt Col. Rory Locke at rlocke@cap.gov with your interest.

The conference registration fee was $30, which included lunch. Dinner options were purchased at an additional cost during the registration process. Members can arrive Friday, 19 January, after 1700 EST and enjoy social time and camaraderie with other members of the Great Lakes Region. This social period was held in the Swan Lake Resort restaurant.

Lodging was at the Swan Lake Resort for $139.00 per night, plus applicable taxes. Please call (574) 935-5680 to make hotel reservations. Breakfast was included with your lodging. This rate was only available until the reserved block of rooms had been exhausted.

GLR has a funded mission in WMIRS to fund ground transportation costs for all attendees. All conference members must be signed into the mission, and a ground sortie must be entered into WMIRS. Fuel receipts must be uploaded in WMIRS when each sortie has been completed. The mission number for the conference is 25-T-4280.

The desired uniform for the conference was the ABU or CAP Corporate Field Uniform (Blue BDU or Polo combination). Full USAF service dress and corporate CAP blazer are not authorized for this conference.

Payment was made via Paypal using a credit or debit card.

Registration closed on Wednesday, 8 January 2025. Due to the short registration period, refunds were limited to $30 until 8 January 2025 and were not offered after that date.
